Alan Ziajka

Alan Ziajka is Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and University Historian at the University of San Francisco, where he has held several administrative positions for the past 30 years.

Prior to coming to USF, he taught United States history at the high school level and developmental and educational psychology at the college level. He holds a B.A. in history and an M.A. in educational psychology from California State University, Northridge, and a Ph.D. in education/human development from Claremont Graduate University. He is the author of three books and several articles on history, education, human development, and related topics. His most recent books areĀ Legacy and Promise: 150 Years of Jesuit Education at the University of San Francisco, published in 2005, andĀ The University of San Francisco School of Law Century: 100 Years of Educating for Justice, published in 2012.
