Outreach

Counseling and Psychological Services is committed to supporting the emotional and mental well being of our USF community by providing outreach services to our students, staff, and faculty. Our outreach programs are designed to provide knowledge and skills to help support mental and psychological well being. Based on our staff’s availability, we are able to provide an outreach for a student organization, class, or office that serves USF students.

Outreach requests must be submitted 21 business days prior to the date of the intended program. We do our best to accommodate each outreach request, but during times of high CAPS utilization, staffing is limited for outreach programs.

Possible presentation topics include but are not limited to:

  • CAPS services and how to access them
  • Boundaries
  • Coping with anxiety
  • Dating/relationship violence
  • Depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship skills
  • Managing burnout
  • Mindfulness
  • Multiculturalism
  • Stress management/relaxation
  • Sleep hygiene
  • Vicarious trauma
