Join Professor Inna Arzumanova as she leads us in a conversation about Through the Black Country... with a focus on the ways race is presented in contemporary art.
Inna Arzumanova, Assistant Professor in Media Studies, has published on the usage of race in dance films, fashion and gender on television, gender production within digital culture, and the aesthetics of race in works of visual art.
This event is presented in conjunction with the Thacher Gallery exhibition Allan deSouza: Through the Black Country..., on view September 4–November 4, 2018.
