Gleeson Library — Plaza & Welch Combo
Join USF’s Dia de los Muertos celebration on Monday, November 1. Enjoy a performance by the Teokalli Traditional Aztec-Mexica Dancers, listen to speakers talk about traditions of the celebration, eat pan de muerto, and drink hot chocolate in community.
Dia de los Muertos honors the lives of our loved ones who have passed and the event will include a procession from Gleeson Plaza into Gleeson Library and Kalmanovitz Hall to view the community ofrendas/altars.
In connection to this event, any of our USF community members are welcome to place images of your loved ones who have passed onto the Kalmanovitz Hall altar starting Tuesday, October 26 and they will remain at the altar through November 1st. Images not picked up from the altar on November 2 will be brought to the University Center Fourth floor front desk for later pick up.
The event is sponsored by: Latin American Studies, Center for Latinx Studies in the Americas (CELASA), the Provost’s Office, University Ministry, Cultural Centers, Student Engagement, L.U.N.A., Gleeson Library
