Step 3: Accept Your Financial Aid

A quick reminder: In order to verify and accept your financial aid offer from USF, you'll need to have set up your myUSF account (See Step 1). You also should have already completed your FAFSA. Once we have these items, the Financial Aid office will send you both a paper award letter and email when your offer is ready to review.

Within 2-3 weeks of your admission to USF, you may log in to myUSF to review and accept the award. Your aid cannot be credited toward your account unless you accept it.

Important: You may be required to submit additional documents. Please visit the Financial Aid Guide for newly admitted students for more information on how to accept your financial aid offer. All financial aid requirements must be completed by November 2 for your aid to show as a credit on your first billing statement in early January.

If you need help, please email, call or visit us (our contact information is listed at the end of this page).

Deadline: ASAP or within two weeks days of receipt of your award notice.

Undocumented Students

Although undocumented students are not eligible to receive federal aid, there are a variety of scholarships, grants, and loans for which you may be eligible, including Cal Grants or University Grants through the California DREAM Act.

We are committed to empowering undocumented students to bolster their future as college graduates. For more information, please see USF's Task Force to Support Undocumented Students.

Non-U.S. citizens:
If you a non-citizen, you may be eligible for certain types of financial aid. To see if you qualify, please visit the Federal Student Aid website.
