Step 5: Apply for Housing

First, be sure to visit the Student Housing website to learn about the benefits of living on campus and the different housing options. Check out the virtual tours for each residence hall room (click on each residence hall name to see the virtual tour).

You can also learn about gender-inclusive housing options and see what's included in a dorm room.

On-Campus Housing

First-Year & Transfer Students

You are guaranteed on-campus housing for the spring term as long as you submit a non-refundable enrollment deposit by December 1 and a completed housing application by December 7. Students who miss the housing application deadline will be placed on a waitlist and assigned space as it becomes available.

In some cases, you may not be eligible for guaranteed housing. Please review the Student Housing First Year/Transfer Students page for more information.

Apply for Housing

When you're ready to apply for housing, submit the spring housing application at USF Rooms using your myUSF username and password. Meal plans are required for all students who live in a residence hall and will be automatically added to your student account.

Once you submit your application, a confirmation email will be sent to your USF email address.

Know What to Bring

Visit the What's In My Room? web page to see what items are included in your room, what you should bring, and what you should leave at home.

Living Off Campus

If you wish to live off campus, or if you did not receive an on-campus housing assignment, we strongly recommend that you connect with our Off Campus Living team. They can help you with apartment listings, finding a roommate, talking with landlords, and everything else that will ease your transition to city life.

Deadline: December 7 to to submit an application for guaranteed on-campus housing. Move-in Day for new domestic students is January 18.
