Step 11: Register for New Student & Family Orientation

New Student & Family Orientation (NSFO) provides an opportunity to get to know the USF campus, learn about resources for incoming students, and connect with faculty, staff, and current students. NSFO includes programs for students and programs for families. See below for the dates of your orientation.

Orientations for International Students

All new first-year and transfer international students are required to attend both the New Student Orientation and the International Student Orientation programs listed below. Please note, the International Student Orientation will not conflict with any required activities taking place during the New Student Orientation program.

  • New Student Orientation: August 12–21
  • International Student Orientation: August 17

Family Orientations

Orientation for first-year families will take place the weekend of August 12–13. For transfers, family orientation will be Sunday, August 20, but international transfer families are welcome to attend the First-Year Family Orientation if that works better for their schedule. After each family orientation, students will have their own orientation activities leading up to the first day of classes. Family orientation is optional.

  • First-Year Family Orientation: August 12–13
  • Transfer Family Orientation: August 20

Registration

Starting mid-June, students will be able to register for the New Student & Family Orientation on the Orientation webpage.

Deadline: Please register for orientation by August 1.
