Step 11: Register for New Student & Family Orientation

New Student & Family Orientation (NSFO) provides an opportunity to get to know the USF campus, learn about resources for incoming students, and connect with faculty, staff, and current students. All international students are required to attend both International Student Orientation (August 15) and New Student Orientation (August 15).

International Student Orientation: August 15

This mandatory session will address the most common questions and concerns that you may have pertaining to immigration, your visa, academic expectations, and cultural adjustments.

Between August 11 (International Student Move-In Day) and August 15, there will also be optional activities to help you get settled and get familiar with the campus, including information on banking, driving, and getting an on-campus job.

To register, visit the ISSS International Student Orientation page in July.

New Student & Family Orientation: August 15

New Student & Family Orientation will introduce you to faculty and staff in your academic program; provide essential information about your specific academic major; and describe how to arrange for academic support services.

There will be activities and events especially for students living on campus, and for those interested in student clubs, service learning, or internship opportunities. There are also informational sessions for family members.

To register, visit the Orientation website in July.

Deadline: Please register for both orientations by August 1.
