Step 5: Apply for Housing
Explore Housing Options
First, be sure to visit the Student Housing and Residential Education (SHaRE) website to learn about the benefits of living on campus. There are many different kinds of housing options on campus, so take your time to research which you may be interested in.
Apply for Housing
When you're ready to apply for housing, the fall 2020 housing application is available at USFRooms starting February 3. You'll also be guided through the steps of selecting a meal plan, which is required for all students who live in a residence hall, unless you are assigned to Pedro Arrupe or Loyola Village.
First-year students are guaranteed one semester of on-campus housing as long as you apply by the May 8 deadline. If you miss the deadline, you will be placed on a waitlist and assigned space as it becomes available.
If you are a transfer student, we encourage you to apply for housing by June 8 in case space becomes available.
International Student Move-In Day
International Student Move-In Day is August 15, 2020. You may begin moving into your campus residence hall on this date. If you arrive to the United States before this date, please note that you will have to find alternate living arrangements until Move-In Day on August 15.
Off Campus Living
If you wish to live off campus, or if you did not receive an on-campus housing assignment, we strongly recommend that you connect with our Off Campus Living team. They can help you with apartment listings, finding a roommate, talking with landlords, and everything else that will ease your transition to city life.
Deadline: In order to qualify for the on-campus housing guarantee, you must submit a non-refundable enrollment deposit and apply for housing by May 8 (first-year students) or June 8 (transfer students). If you apply after May 8, we will do our best to assign you on-campus housing, but it is not guaranteed.
