Student 1: There's this new chapter in my life, but what do I do next? How do I find that friend group? How do I find that support system? Student 2: At first it was rough cause you don't know anyone. ItÕs very new, itÕs just starting school all over again. Hello I am a Transfer Student Student 1: Transfer students face different problems than what a traditional first-year student would face. Student 2: So I came from Sonoma State University and I felt like just being in the rural environment over there was kind of limiting. Student 1: I kind of got this feeling of, Ōthis isnÕt my first time at the rodeo, I get the idea of college, I know I can't burn candles in my dorm room,Ķ but what specifically are tips that I need to know as a transfer student? How do transfer students and CASA work together? Student 1: This is the person you talk to to get your transfer credits completed or if you can count 2 classes for 1 credit, or see if you can get extra credits to transfer over from another school. Student 2: Helping me with the whole process of switching online and adding courses, he was just there. Student 1: How do I get the best grade? What's the best way to stay on top of it? What kind of support does CASA provide? Student 1: I definitely relied on CASA. I felt like this would be a great place for me just to learn how to manage specific classes, especially at USF, and how to manage my time living in San Francisco. Student 2: I was really close with CASA advisor. Sometimes we wanna grab coffee or just like I'd see him and weÕd talk about random stuff. It's almost like they're your older sibling who knows the way around the house. Student 1: When you leave here, you're feeling better.
