Welcome to USF. This tutorial will help guide you select your classes. You will be registering for either 4, 4-unit, and 1 or 2 1-unit courses for a total of 16-18 credits. Of these courses, it is MOST important that you register for: BIOL 113 Human Anatomy and BIOL 114 Laboratory in Human Anatomy. Human Anatomy is a 4-credit course, 3-credits for the lecture and 1-credit for the laboratory. You must take both the lecture and the laboratory at the same time as you cannot register for one without the other. When you register, you must register for the lecture and lab independently. If Human Anatomy is closed, you can register for Bio 115 Human Physiology and Bio 116 Laboratory in Human Physiology. Similar to Human Anatomy, Human Physiology is a 4-credit course, 3-credits for the lecture and 1-credit for the laboratory. Remember, you must take both the lecture and the laboratory at the same time as you cannot register for one without the other BUT you must register for each independently. When you register, you must register for the lecture and lab independently. The second course in the major you need to register for is KIN 120 Introduction to Kinesiology. All students need to complete their rhetoric and composition requirement at USF. Developing good written skills is absolutely essential to your success in all the classes. You should complete the Direct Self Placement course to determine which class to register for. For further information, please review the tutorial by clicking on the Tab Rhetoric and Composition. We encourage you to enroll in Public Speaking for Health Professions Public Speaking/Health Profession - RHET 111 If public speaking for health professions is closed, please register for another university core course.
