Online Registration There are two ways to register for classes. We will start with the first one which is to look up and register for classes at the same time. Log into myUSF as usual, and click on the ÒStudent tabÓ under student self service. Select registration, and then ÒLook up and register for classesÓ. Once you have chosen the appropriate term, click ÒSubmitÓ. Now you can browse for any course that you want and select any choice to help you narrow your range. For example, you can select under specific academic subjects, or, if you know a faculty members name you can search under their name for all the courses that they may be teaching in any given semester. But for your first semester, let us choose something general, like a core A1 course which is a public speaking course. Click all for the subject area, select the appropriate campus, then scroll down and click on Core A1 which is Public Speaking. Click class search. Now, all your choices will be displayed. Let us look at these first few which are all offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but at different times. If the check box contains a C, this means that the class is closed. Let us choose Public Speaking on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 to 11:35 am. Click on the box, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click register. Now here is an example of a student who has registered for 18 credits. This student would like to withdraw from or drop a course. To do this, click on the action scroll down menu and click Dropped Web. Now you must make sure that you click on the submit button at the bottom of the page, or the class wonÕt be dropped. That is it, it is that easy to do. Now, if you already know the class registration numbers or CRNÕs you can go directly to drop and add classes. You enter your CRN numbers and click submit changes. Now, to review your courses click return to menu and detailed schedule. Here you can make sure your courses are indeed the ones you are planning to take and you havenÕt mistakenly added an incorrect CRN number. Click return to menu and select student schedule. Here you will see a weekly snap shot of all your courses.
