Yoga as Healing: Rest, Restore, and Healing

  • 60 minute Flow, Restore, and Healing class 7:30- 8:30 PM (PST)
  • Weeks 5 - 8: optional theme discussion and check-in at 7:00 PM (PST)
    • cap at 10 students

Items for Class:

Flow, Restore, and Healing Yoga Classes

  • Something to rest down on Yoga Mat, Carpet, or a Blanket
  • Supportive items such as a Blanket, Pillow, Cushions ( 2-3 )
  • Soga strap, towel, belt, or scarf for releasing poses
  • Your Fave calming playlist if you’d like to listen to music

Introduction: Intention

Setting intentions is the act of stating what you intend to accomplish through your actions. It’s a commitment to what you want the journey to be about as you move on or move up” (Coralie SAWRUK). This is an opportunity to set an intention for this class and the whole program.

Awareness

Prioritizing yourself sometimes is an important form of self-love. We will focus on the practice of mindfulness and investing in taking care of ourselves

Alignment

What’s our body saying? Our body is constantly trying to share its wisdom. We will talk about self-care as it brings us into alignment with who we currently are and what we wish to cultivate.

Safety

Safety is something we can feel emotionally, physically, with ourselves, and with others. We will center is class around creating emotional safety for ourselves.

Boundaries and Assertiveness

The goal of setting boundaries is to create peace, truth, and wholeness within your life.

Yoga as a Healing Practice 

We take a deeper look at how trauma affects our body and how body-based practices can support our journey in healing.

Inner Strength and Trust

Inner strength gives you the power to choose when to attach, when to detach, and what decisions are best. We will focus on cultivating our inner strength
