Join us for the final USF Data Science Speaker Series of the season, featuring Dr. Srini V. Srinivasan—a pioneering force in real-time data systems and the Founder & CTO of Aerospike.

Today’s AI-driven applications demand lightning-fast decision-making—whether for hyper-personalized experiences, fraud detection, or intelligent automation. But delivering context-aware responses in real time requires more than just storing data; it calls for efficient indexing, adaptive retrieval, and systems that evolve with user behavior.
In this talk, Dr. Srinivasan will explore how AI and real-time data processing drive hyper-personalization at scale. He’ll dive into indexing strategies, retrieval optimization, and the technical approaches required to build high-speed, high-impact systems.
With over two decades of experience designing and running real-time infrastructure, Dr. Srinivasan co-founded Aerospike in 2009 to overcome the database limitations he encountered as Senior Director of Engineering at Yahoo. He holds more than three dozen patents across databases, web, mobile, and distributed systems. Dr. Srinivasan earned his B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Madras and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
