WHAT DO WE DO?

The OGC manages the legal affairs of the University. Major activities include: management of all external litigation and government agency complaints; advice to the university regarding all legal questions arising in day-to-day operations of the university; and preventive legal and compliance initiatives. The OGC is also responsible for Human Resources and Employee and Labor Relations including negotiations and implementation of policies/procedures associated with collective bargaining, contract implementation, conflict resolution, administration, and disciplinary and arbitration matters for represented faculty and staff at USF.

The OGC includes Human Resources, Compliance and Compensation, and Employee and Labor Relations.

Human Resources

Human Resources is committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging work environment for all faculty and staff, enabling you to achieve the university's mission. The HR team assists with protocol and policy development, staff and faculty benefits, and coordination of insurance matters.

Compliance and Compensation

The Compensation team ensures that USF provides a competitive and sustainable compensation and benefits package designed to help recruit, retain, and recognize a qualified, diverse, and mission-driven workforce.

Employee and Labor Relations

Employee and Labor Relations is committed to promoting respectful, effective, fair, and professional relationships between USF and its employee groups. The team works to enhance the relationship between the University and its employees by providing direction and guidance on unions, policies, agreements and more.
