Why I serve as an AP: I want to be a friend, mentor, and ally to students of color. I want to help them be the best they can be at USF by providing them with the support, resources and community they deserve but don't always have.

Advice: Being yourself is the best thing you can be. :))

Fun Fact: I’ve been to roughly 75% of the states in the U.S (I really want to travel to Alaska next)!

Why I serve as an AP: My experience in this community helped me achieve one of my goals of joining the School of Management Honors Program, helped me adjust to a new school environment and state, AND connected me with supportive, amazing people who made my first year at USF so much fun. All of these things happened not only because I had goals but because I surrounded myself with people who wanted to stay motivated to achieve their own dreams. I’m an AP this year because I want you guys to enjoy your first year at USF (despite the challenges we’re all facing w/ remote learning), meet great mentors, and harness your focus for the years to come. 

Advice: We can only focus our energy on so many things so make sure you prioritize your time and energy!

Why I serve as an AP: I want to help make the transition to USF as smooth as possible, while providing my own experiences and advice in this safe space for students of color.

Advice: Never be afraid to ask questions or meet new people. Everyone is just trying to figure things out and make friends, especially freshman year.

Fun Fact: I am currently teaching myself three languages (Japanese, ASL, and Spanish).

Why I serve as an AP: I serve as an AP because navigating through college as a first-generation student can be isolating without a strong support system to guide you. There's no need to go through your college experience alone. I want to be a part of your support system and help you thrive.

Advice: Please please take advantage of the resources that the PACT program has to offer. Connect with your AP and show up to events. The more you participate the more you’ll get out of the program.

Fun Fact: I'm a plant mom and would love to have my future house full of plants.

Why I serve as an AP: I think it's important that you have a proper support system to help you navigate your first year at USF. That support can make a big difference.

Advice: Don't be afraid to ask questions and ask for help. You do not need to go through life and new experiences alone.

Fun Fact: I'm a big EDM person and I like to blast my music when it's appropriate for me to :)

Why I Serve as an AP: I want to help the students connect with the USF, knowing how hard this first year would be for students. I want to be that guiding hand to make sure that everything will be alright and to never forget to enjoy your time. 

Advice: Manage your time well, take advantage of the resources in PACT and USF so you can help yourself succeed. Also, never forget to enjoy your time, don't stress, the more you enjoy yourself, the better experience you will have.

Why I serve as an AP: As a previous scholar, my AP was an amazing resource and friend and I want to lend that support to incoming students.

Advice: Don't be afraid to take advantage of your resources! They're there to help you.

Fun Fact: I once fell off a two story high guarding post straight into concrete. Don’t worry however, I turned out ok.

Why you serve as an AP: I serve as an AP because if I am going to be honest, this chapter of your life will be challenging yet very rewarding. I want to help you find the beauties of being able to be independent while supporting you through your academics and career.

Advice to Scholars: This is your first year! Don’t be afraid to try all the new things out school offers because you have plenty of time to explore. Here in USF there is always a community that will accept you, it just takes a bit of digging and searching.

Advice: Kindness is loaning someone your strength instead of reminding them of their weakness.

Advice: Although school work is important, treat yourself. Find time to take a break and explore the city.
