Dear May 2021 Graduates,
In your time at USF, you have shown strength and resilience and persistence. And in the last year especially, with a pandemic and with our community scattered across the world, you have persevered.
This year, for safety, spring commencement will take place virtually on May 21. We invite you and the whole community — students, family, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the university — to attend from all over the country and all over the world.
We wish that spring 2021 commencement could be held on campus. We wish we could all gather in person. But right now, even with vaccine efforts underway, the pandemic continues, and public health and public safety outweigh our wishes.
In the months ahead, we will send you details on the schedule of events, submitting your information and photo for inclusion in the ceremony, and receiving your regalia. All students must complete the graduation application in order to have their degree awarded. Please contact the Graduation Center at firstname.lastname@example.org with any immediate questions.
In the meantime, please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay vigilant in concern for the common good.
Paul J. Fitzgerald, S.J.
