USF Cybersecurity Clinic
The University of San Francisco Cybersecurity Clinic supports local nonprofit organizations and small businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our students help protect our community against cyber attacks and help them with cyber civil defense and AI safety. We work closely with the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity and with the Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics. Additionally, as a Community Engaged Learning (CEL) course students are working to integrate the core Jesuit values and mission of USF in their work with the community.
Through a generous donation from Craig Newmark Philanthropies, students gain valuable real world experience in their training to become cybersecurity professionals. As the first clinic within San Francisco, the USF Cybersecurity Clinic's location offers a unique advantage - it is in the heart of Silicon Valley with access to cutting-edge technologies, while serving the diverse needs of nonprofits and small businesses operating in the city. Looking ahead, we hope to expand the Clinic's scope to serving critical infrastructure providers, extending the same rigorous, student-powered security support.
We were delighted to partner with the USF Cybersecurity Clinic to bring their expertise and hands-on support to our learners, and with Stonestown YMCA for providing a welcoming space for the workshop. This collaboration is a wonderful example of how we can work together to help older adults stay safer and more confident online." - DigitalLIFT
