The program will begin at 6:00 PM. In this conversation, Dr. J, author of The Cost of Code-Switching And How We Get Free (drops 2027), and the Producers of The Black Educology Mixtape will discuss the relationship between Blackness and western education while centering Dr. J’s work on linguistic justice, youth-led social research, and the power of hip-hop pedagogy to address systemic issues. Together, Dr. J and BE will lead a session to define and disrupt institutional frameworks and plant seeds of possibilities.
