CS Faculty Speaker Series : Dragutin Petkovic

Join the Computer Science Department for our first faculty speaker series of the semester! Professor Dragutin Petkovic will discuss his research surrounding Generative AI and its impact on education. A longtime professor of computer science and former scientist and manager at IBM, Professor Petkovic has extensive experience both in education and in the industry. He is the founder of IBM’s well-known Query by Image Content project and has received numerous IBM awards for his work and leadership. Most recently, he has worked to establish the Certificate of AI Ethics program at San Francisco State University and continues to focus his research and teaching on the ethical use of AI and its impact on education.
