On-Campus Event - — St. Ignatius Church

The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a Jesuit tradition dating back to 1548. Celebrated yearly at Jesuit educational institutions worldwide, this tradition marks the beginning of the new academic year.
This year, at USF, it will also celebrate the inauguration of President Salvador D. Aceves ’83, EdD ’95. It is an opportunity for our community to come together to pray for the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
The Mass will include prayers and blessings for President Aceves as he begins his leadership, asking for strength, clarity, and compassion in service to the university and its mission. All faiths and beliefs are welcome to celebrate this ancient Jesuit Catholic tradition.
