Shirley Mcguire Ph.D, M.ASenior Vice Provost of Academic AffairsProfessor of PsychologyUniversity of San FranciscoShirley McGuire is Senior Vice Provost of Academic Affairs, Professor of Psychology, and the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) at the University of San Francisco. She supports university initiatives to enhance academic excellence. Dr. McGuire is responsible for the Center for Global Education, as well as the university accreditation, curricular development and assessment, contracts and grants, and IRBPHS. She also oversees The Tracy Seeley Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) and the Center for Research, Artistic, and Scholarly Excellence (CRASE).

Luis Enrique Bazan Ed.D, M.Associate Director for Immersions
lebazan@usfca.edu, ext. 2708Luis Enrique “Kique” Bazan is a longtime advocate for justice with years of experience working with human rights and advocacy organizations. Originally from Lima, Peru, Kique earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the Pontifical Catholic University in Lima, a master’s in theology and religious studies and a doctorate in organization and leadership from USF. Before coming to USF, Kique worked as street educator to promote and protect the rights of street children. Kique is a contributor to the book, Religion at the Corner of Bliss and Nirvana: Politics, Identity, and Faith in New Migrant Communities (Duke, 2009). At USF, Kique is responsible for The Global Immersions that include the Arrupe Immersion Program, the Arrupe Justice Immersions, and all other Academic Immersion through the Center for Global Education.
