Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a Concentration in Catholic Education (CED)

The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a concentration in Catholic Education (CST) is designed for students who wish to pursue their teaching careers in Catholic schools and to hone their skills in classroom teaching. 

For candidates who complete all teaching credential program requirements at USF, the M.A. in Teaching with a Concentration in Catholic Education may be obtained by successfully completing the following three additional core courses (9 units):

  • CEL-640 History and Principles of Catholic Education (3 units) 
  • CEL-642 Moral Development (3 units)
  • CEL-648 Spirituality of the Educator (3 units)
