Council of Associate Deans (CAD)

Charge

The Council of Associate Deans comprises Assistant and Associate Deans from the five schools/College and the Gleeson Library, Associate Vice Provosts, and representatives from Student Life. The council is charged by the USF Provost to:

  • serve as an advisory body to the Provost that makes recommendations and assists in the development of academic policies that are informed by best practices
  • assist with standardization of academic and general operational practices across schools/college/divisions
  • propose and implement initiatives that advance the University's priorities
  • identify and address undergraduate and graduate academic and student issues not limited to admission, student retention, assessment, and evaluation

Meetings

CAD typically meets every second Wednesday of the month, from 10:00 - 11:30 am during the spring and fall semesters (no meetings during summer or winter break).

Our meeting space is used to:

  • share information, data, and resources
  • listen to presentations from colleagues across campus
  • discuss and develop initiatives that cut across schools
  • bring to light issues on the ground that need to be addressed
  • initiate change where there is a need

If you are interested in sharing some information, giving a presentation, or learning more about CAD, please email the CAD chair at oevbuomwan@usfca.edu.
