Erika Sagrafena is a Program Management Director at SWCA Environmental Consultants. She leads the growth and execution of SWCA’s capabilities to meet the needs of a key client in the transmission sector. She also supports the career development and growth of our program management teams, and coordinates efforts across SWCA offices and business units. Erika joined SWCA in 2017 after a decade with other consulting firms in the utility sector. She has managed some of SWCA’s largest utility and capital projects in California and the western US including transmission line routing and siting, supporting clients in FERC Order 1000 competitive transmission pursuits, and utility and energy related permitting and construction compliance efforts. Erika has a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a master’s degree from University of San Francisco.

Jeff Dlott has more than 30 years of experience in agricultural and social sciences, software and hardware technologies, and public-private partnerships with broad stakeholder engagement. His clients and pro bono service spans the agrifood value chain including fresh produce companies, food service providers, consumer packaged goods companies, trade associations, universities, NGOs, State and Federal governments, hundreds of US wineries and vineyard operations, and thousands of California farming operations in fruit, nut, and vegetable cropping systems.

Xavier Fernandez is an Environmental Scientist with over 20 years experience in wetland monitoring, wetland permitting, habitat impact evaluation, and ecological risk assessment. He is interested in climate adaptation projects that benefit natural resources and under-served communities using a multi-discipline approach.

Chris Lowrie is the Lead Spatial Scientist at the UCSC Center for Coastal Climate Resilience, where he supports open and accessible scientific research. His work blends science communication and data visualization, to create engaging products and make climate science more actionable. His background is in spatial analytics for climate adaptation. He is also the founder of Whitecap Geospatial, which seeks to empower environmental scientists with technical support.

Experienced with analyzing large environmental and financial datasets, with expertise in using GIS platforms Google Earth Engine and ArcGIS to add geospatial data and processing to the analysis. Currently working on projects that utilize machine learning to better understand wildfires and how they affect people and the environment.

Jessie is trained in climate mitigation and resiliency solutions, ecology, environmental management, and government relations, and applies this breadth of experience to build a healthier climate future across the Bay Area and beyond. Her nearly 20 year career includes experience in environmental non-profits (The Nature Conservancy), climate change philanthropy (ClimateWorks Foundation), and government funded public health (Pathfinder International and Integrated Work). Jessie received a M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco and a B.S. in Ecology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

For over 25 years, Nat has worked on birds, wildlife ecology, and conservation in North America, Hawaii, Central America, and Africa. These projects have included research on tropical raptors, forest songbirds, African sunbirds, Pacific seabirds, and migratory birds in western North America. Nat’s research has contributed to developing solutions that integrate bird conservation with climate change, forest and wildfire management, river restoration, wildlife-friendly agriculture, and water management.
