We are excited to welcome Sreeni Iyer for an inspiring session in the USF Data Science Speaker Series.
This talk will explore how advanced machine learning techniques can unlock insights from ecological field data by combining predictive modeling and computer vision.
Highlights of the session include:
-
Predictive Analytics: Modeling lion pride movements in Tsavo, Kenya. Can machine learning help us anticipate behaviors as nature adapts?
-
Image Analysis: Identifying endangered vultures and analyzing camera trap data using state-of-the-art methods such as YOLO, AWS Rekognition, and LLM-powered approaches.
