Dean, School of Education Search

As of November 20, the Search Advisory Committee and the search firm have engaged with students and staff to gather insights regarding expectations and aspirations for the incoming dean and the future direction of the School of Education. Additional listening sessions are scheduled with faculty members, program chairs, the dean's staff, and other key stakeholders to further understand the School's trajectory.

The information collected during these sessions will inform the development of a comprehensive leadership profile. This profile will talk about the School of Education and the opportunities and challenges for the next Dean. This document will serve as the foundation for broad outreach and engagement with prospective candidates. For those unable to attend the scheduled sessions, we encourage you to share your input via the this survey.

The Search Advisory Committee is set to reconvene in late January 2026, to review initial outreach efforts and receive updates on the development of the candidate pool. The committee will work with the search firm through February and March to build a deep and well-qualified pool of candidates that will ensure the best possible leadership for the School of Education. It is expected that finalists will be invited to campus in April.  -Isaacson, Miller
