Lone Mountain Main — 148 - Studio Theatre

performers listening to choreographer in rehearsal

This spring, USF PASJ alum Eric Garcia (Detour Productions) will lead an interdisciplinary, devised theater project that brings together dance, theater, and music. Students will co-create a 30-minute performance—blurring the lines between disciplines and highlighting the power of ensemble collaboration. No matter your background—whether you’re a mover, musician, or actor—there’s space to bring your creativity into the process.

The audition will be an ensemble-based session focused on real-time creation. You won’t need to prepare anything in advance or learn set choreography. Instead, you’ll respond to prompts and short scores that invite collaboration through movement, voice, gesture, lipsync, and imagination. Expect to experiment, build with others, and step a little outside your usual discipline—whether that means moving your body, speaking text, or creating sound.

This project welcomes currently enrolled USF students, faculty, staff, and alumni—from any discipline or background. Movers, actors, musicians, designers, writers, drag performers, and artists of all kinds are encouraged to join.
