SF Supervisor Connie Chan

The Politics Department welcomes Connie Chan, San Francisco District 1 Supervisor and candidate for Congress, for a discussion on her life of public service, local engagement, and the power of community representation.

Connie Chan is a public servant who has spent over 15 years working at nearly every level of San Francisco government. An immigrant who grew up in Chinatown, Chan has served as an aide to then-District Attorney Kamala Harris and Supervisor Aaron Peskin, and held leadership roles with the San Francisco Zoo and San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. Since 2021, she has represented the Richmond District on the Board of Supervisors, where she has chaired the Budget and Appropriations Committee and championed environmental justice, renter protections, and community safety. She is currently running to represent San Francisco in California’s 11th Congressional District.

All are welcome. Presented by the USF Politics Department.
