Hear from the department’s newest faculty member, Camille Harris, as she discusses her research Fundamentally Unfair: Analysis of Gendered Discourse in U.S. Capital Trials. In this talk, Harris will share how they leveraged simple Natural Language Processing methods to scale analysis of gender stereotyping language in over 100 capital trial transcripts, including all transcripts of women currently on death row.
