Dear USF and Koret Health and Recreation Center Community,

In an effort to support several public health recommendations announced over the past 72 hours that are aimed at protecting our community from the spread of COVID-19, the Koret Health and Recreation Center is making the difficult decision to temporarily close our facility beginning Monday, March 16, through at least the end of March.

Our goal throughout this dynamic situation has been to follow best practices and align with other institutions in the Bay Area, including UCSF, Stanford, and San Francisco State. Although our doors will be closed, our staff will be hard at work developing resources, fitness content, and recommendations aimed at continuing to serve our diverse community. We will be collaborating with Koret trainers, instructors, coaches, and other staff to create fitness programming utilizing technology, at-home/equipment-free workout options, and engaging materials to support wellness and self-care for anyone dealing with social distancing and isolation. The Department of Recreational Sports at Koret is committed to educating and empowering our students, faculty, staff, and other members so we can all best protect our community.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this new landscape.
