“Holo With Hawai’i” is a week-long University of San Francisco (USF) Arrupe Immersion, led by Dr. Evelyn I. Rodriguez from the Department of Sociology, that invites students to explore O’ahu beyond what most visitors get to see — engaging directly with communities affected by colonialism, economic inequality, environmental challenges, and resilience. Through community engagement, dialogue, and daily reflection, participants will deepen their understanding of justice, faith, and domestic and global solidarity. Anchored in Ignatian spirituality, this journey challenges students to see the world — and their place in it — with new eyes. Along the way, they’ll build lasting community and consider how they’re called to respond.
