The best of the best of USF’s undergraduate student speakers share their talents in this showcase presentation. This year’s showcase includes exceptional extemporaneous speeches that employ ethical reasoning and pay nuanced attention to the situation and audience. During this event, we will present 4 speech awards: the Joseph Cotchett Award for Human Rights and Social Justice; the William Workman Award for Public Affairs; the Freddie Wiant Award; and the Brian Vannice Award.

Eloquentia Perfecta: Celebrating Rhetoric at USF is an event series hosted by the Department of Rhetoric and Language, showcasing outstanding written, oral, visual, and digital rhetoric. We also listen to and learn from our multilingual students, promote innovative and multimedia approaches to rhetoric, and celebrate eloquentia perfecta—communicating for the common good.
