The St. Thomas More Society of San Francisco is a fellowship of Catholic lawyers and judges committed to the pursuit of true legal service. This organization invites law students to become members for free and offers opportunities for camaraderie, mentorship, networking, and scholarships. The Dean is a member of the Executive Committee and would welcome the opportunity to talk with interested students. Tax Appeals Assistance Program (TAAP)
Get hands-on litigation and tax experience at TAAP! This is a unique opportunity represent real clients with real financial liabilities in an active administrative process.
Skills include: client relations, evidence development, legal writing, oral advocacy, regulatory practice, and controversy practice. Also: develop writing samples and relationships with BOE attorneys who could serve as references.
