Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

W.F. and Marie A. Batton Endowed Scholarship

An endowed scholarship in the name of W.F. & Marie A. Batton was established to support undergraduates in the University of San Francisco’s School of Management who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), and who are active leaders within the School of Management community. An annual recipient is chosen based on a student’s leadership qualities and the likelihood that the student will be a contributing alumnus. The approximate award is $7,000.

Application Requirements:

  • A full-time junior or senior BSBA student (minimum 12 credits per semester) with a declared business major who is actively engaged in student leadership within the School of Management.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher for all USF course work.
  • A completed application with an unofficial copy of your USF transcript.
  • A 2-3 page (double-spaced) essay that focuses on the leadership qualities you have developed while a student at USF and how you plan to apply those qualities after graduation.

The deadline for 2014 applications is Friday, August 29, 2014. Please submit the application and supporting materials to The Office of Undergraduate Studies and Programming no later than Friday, August 29, 2014.

To be considered for USF scholarships that factor in financial need, you are required to fill-out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For information on the FAFSA and federal student loan program, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov. The USF school code for FAFSA is 001325. We recommend that you submit your FAFSA as early as possible, even before your admission decision is made.

Alumni Scholarship

Awarded on a competitive basis to a limited number of newly admitted Professional Bachelor's Degree Program students who demonstrate exceptional promiseof achieving academic excellence. Applicants are evaluated based onfinancial need, academic potential and potential for futurecontributions to the field of study.

Applicants must also complete and submit the Free Application forFederal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available online,www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Approximate Award: Tuition grant up to six credits of coursework; 3credits disbursed the first term and 3 credits in the second termcontingent upon maintenance of good academic standing (3.0 GPA).


Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

Timely applicants for admission to the University's undergraduate degree programs in the School of Management are eligible for consideration for admission as a Transfer Scholar. Scholars will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 a semester for up to four semesters of undergraduate study at USF. The scholarship is applicable to fall and spring semesters only. No financial aid application is required and Scholars will be identified at the time of admission.

To be considered for admission as a Transfer Scholar, applicants must submit their Admission Application and all required supporting documents to the University's Admission office by August 1 for a program beginning in the fall semester and by January 1 for a program beginning in the spring semester.

To be admitted as a Scholar, applicants must be newly admitted students who have a transfer grade point average of at least 3.75 and must have at least 60 graded units accepted for transfer credit.

To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.2 for each semester's work at USF.
