MUSIC CONCENTRATION

The Performing Arts Department offers the Performing Arts and Social Justice (PASJ) major and minors in Theater, Dance, and Music. Our program offerings include different styles and approaches to making art, celebrating diversity, and creatively reflecting on important issues of our times. We encourage USF students to discover the artist-activist in themselves.

Performance opportunities are open to all USF students regardless of previous experience with performing.

ABOUT THE CONCENTRATION

The Music Concentration of the Performing Arts & Social Justice major provides a holistic course of study that places equal value upon the artistic development and the cultural consciousness of our students. There is no audition required to become a PASJ major. It requires completion of 48 units of coursework, plus participation in our department’s performance ensembles (many students double major in PASJ).
