Lone Mountain North Observatory

Join the Physics and Astronomy department on Lone Mountain for observation nights Oct 21-Nov 7!

Weather permitting, this is a chance to explore stars, planets and more through our department's telescopes, and also get a great view of the city from the rooftop. Sessions are open to all students, faculty, and staff!

Fall 2024 Schedule:

  • October 21st - 24th
  • October 28th - 31st
  • November 4th - 7th

Session times: 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Meeting Location: Koret Lodge at Lone Mountain North

Anyone interested in attending can RSVP via the linked form. Form submissions can be edited to cancel or revise RSVP's.

Observation night confirmations/cancellations:

  • An email confirmation/ cancellation will be sent out between 7:00 pm- 7:30 pm before each scheduled observation session either confirming or cancelling the session based on weather or attendance

  • Cai, our team lead, will make this call and send the email out to all those who signed up for that specific night, this is why it's super important to sign up!
