Lone Mountain North Observatory

Join the Physics and Astronomy department on Lone Mountain for observation nights!

Weather permitting, this is a chance to explore stars, planets and more through our department's telescopes, and also get a great view of the city from the rooftop. Sessions are open to all students, faculty, and staff!

Session times: Monday-Thursday, 9:00-10:00pm
Meeting Location: Koret Lodge at Lone Mountain North

Anyone interested in attending can RSVP via the linked form. Form submissions can be edited to cancel or revise RSVP's.

Observation night confirmations/cancellations:

  • An email confirmation/ cancellation will be sent out between 8:00 pm- 8:30 pm before each scheduled observation session either confirming or cancelling the session based on weather or attendance.
  • Our team leads will make this call and send the email out to all those who signed up for that specific night -- this is why it's super important to sign up!
