USF Core Curriculum
The new 40-unit hybrid Core Curriculum pairs a distinctive first-year experience and a culminating applied capstone with a broad distributive foundation in between. With a start date of Fall 2027 for the entering class and Fall 2028 for transfer students, the redesigned Core leans into USF's Jesuit mission and reduces effective credit burden, freeing up space for study abroad and internships. Through it, students explore big questions, discover subjects beyond their major, and apply what they learn to real-world challenges. Along the way, they develop the knowledge and skills to think critically, communicate effectively, and make a difference in the world around them.
