In Memoriam: Thomas Paul Taquino, Jr. ‘76, Husband of Faculty Member Nancy Taquino

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Thomas Paul Taquino, Jr. ‘76 (Paul), husband of SOHNP adjunct faculty Nancy Taquino. Paul died peacefully, surrounded by family, from complications of Lewey Body Dementia on December 28, 2022. 

Paul is survived by Nancy, his college sweetheart, wife, and love of his life for 48 years; sons Michael (Natalie) Christopher (Lindsey), daughter Katie (USF alumna); grandchildren Abby, Patrick, Cal, and Mick; brother David, sisters Jeanne, Lisa (Steve); eight brothers and sisters-in-law, five nieces and nephews, and many childhood, college, and adult friends and professional colleagues. He will be missed by all who knew him and remembered fondly for his sense of humor, deep conversations, and for being a model husband, father, son, brother, friend, and colleague.

A funeral Mass will be at St. Anselm Church in Ross, CA, on January 6, 2023, at 11 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Peacock Gap Country Club, San Rafael. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his memory to St. Anselm’s Church or the charity of your choice.

Memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family through the School of Nursing and Health Professions.
