Dr. Tim Loney, former Associate Director of the Online MPA Program at the University of San Francisco passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 80, after a long battle with lung cancer. A native of Middletown, CT, Tim had a lifelong passion for education which he shared with colleagues and students in a career that spanned over 35 years. While working full-time for the city Oakland and federal government, Tim was an adjunct professor at multiple institutions, including USF and Golden Gate University. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and brother.
There will be a private service to scatter Tim's ashes at sea with Veteran military honors through the Neptune Society in the San Francisco Bay, just outside Marin.
