All residence halls will be closing on Saturday, December 16th at 12:00 pm. All students must vacate their rooms by this time, unless they apply for winter break and intersession housing. Residence halls will open again on Thursday, January 18th at 12:00 pm.
Residents of Fulton Flats, Fulton House, Loyola Village, Loyola Village Townhouses, and St. Anne’s: While you will not be charged for these terms, as they are built into your contract, you must still fill out the corresponding request in USFRooms.
You can now apply for winter break and/or intersession housing via USFRooms. The deadline to apply is November 3, 2023.
Option 1: Winter Break AND Intersession Housing
When: December 16, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) to January 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (noon).
Location: Students who apply and are approved will be able to remain in their current Fall booking
Cost: The cost of Winter Break Housing is $350 for the Winter Break Period and $350 for the Intersession Period, for a total cost of $700. There is no pro-rate available.
Option 2: Intersession Housing ONLY
When: January 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) to January 18, 2024.
Location: Students who apply and are approved will move back into their academic year booking early.
Cost: The cost of Intersession Housing is $350 for the period. There is no pro-rate available.
How to Apply
- Log into USFRooms.
- Select "Student Requests" on the top menu bar.
- Choose your active 2023-2024 application and click “Continue.”
- Select “Winter Break/Intersession” from the drop-down menu.
Applications are due no later than Friday, November 3, 2023.
A Note on Spring 2024 Housing
As you have signed on to an academic year-round housing contract, you do not have to separately apply for spring 2024 housing. In the coming weeks, we will send out a campus-wide message inviting off-campus students to apply for the spring semester, so you may also hear about the Spring 2024 application.
If you are not interested in Winter Break Housing, there is no action needed on your part. Please note that you must vacate your unit 24 hours after your last final exam but no later than December 16th by 12 pm. You can move back on to campus on January 18, 2024 after 12 pm.
