Dear USF Community,
As the fall semester begins, our Public Safety & One Card team look forward to welcoming you back to campus. Due to the recent changes regarding campus access this semester, we would like to provide some important updates regarding our services.
Contacting Public Safety & One Card
Due to the continued San Francisco City & County Shelter-in-Place ordinance, both the Public Safety and One Card Front Desks are currently closed for in-person services. For assistance, please contact our desks by emailing:
We will continue to assist from a remote capacity and will provide further updates regarding our services as we continue through the semester.
Purchasing Parking Permits
Faculty & Staff
In accordance with San Francisco city planning, sustainability efforts, and the already extremely limited campus parking, our parking policies will need to continue as usual. This means Faculty and Staff should visit usf.thepermitstore.com to purchase a new academic year parking permit.
For health and safety reasons, all vehicles parked on campus are still required to display a valid USF parking permit, and Community Service Officers will continue to cite all campus parking lots.
In accordance with COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the University has decided to not sell semester permits to students for this Fall semester.
Both Main Gate and Lone Mountain Gate kiosks are currently closed. If you require a daily permit, you will need to make arrangements with Public Safety at least 48 hours prior to your planned campus visit.*
*Please note: due to the extra staffing required for permit distribution, we are charging the daily parking permit fee for all one time requests, regardless of the request date. This includes vendor and contractor permits.
For more information, please visit our website.
Setting up your Mobile One Card
The One Card Office now provides Mobile options depending on what mobile device you use. Anyone with an iOS device will be able to set up the Mobile USF One Card via the Apple Wallet.
Mobile options assist with access to campus, Don Dollars and meal plan transactions, and managing your card account, all in one place.
Please note: You may only have ONE method of access. Whether you choose to use a previously issued physical One Card, or switch to your USF Mobile One Card - both will not work at the same time.
Receiving a Physical One Card
Due to the University closure, the One Card Office will be printing physical One Cards solely based upon special request. If you believe you need a physical One Card after reviewing the Obtaining a Card page in myUSF, please email One Card at email@example.com and our staff will be happy to assess with you further.
If you are currently using a physical One Card and would like to continue doing so, all services will support both physical cards and mobile devices.
