Created by a commission of AJCU faculty and staff, the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm Certificate program features six modules that can be completed in one semester.  All faculty and student-facing staff are invited and new faculty are especially encouraged to join.

Bridges Seminar: Exploring the Intellectual Foundations of Jesuit Mission  

Join us for a semester-long journey into the Catholic Intellectual Tradition—a vibrant and enduring conversation at the intersection of faith, reason, and the human experience. Through lively discussions, we’ll explore key themes such as the harmony of faith and reason, the sacramental imagination, human dignity, and the richness of diverse perspectives in community. Faculty and staff of all backgrounds—of any or no faith tradition—are warmly welcomed to participate.

AI and Faith Discussion Group 

Are you interested in the ethical, philosophical, and theological debates surrounding AI? The Lane Center convenes a group of faculty and staff to discuss readings and support each other in research and teaching related to AI and faith.  
 

Faculty fellowships and research collaboratives

2024-2025 Laudato si Research Collaborative 
Led by Dr. Kimberly Carfore, the collaborative supported faculty research through dialogue, nature immersion, and a conference celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Laudato si. 

2023-2024 Faculty in Residence, Evelyn Ibatan Rodriguez, PhD

Professor Rodriguez co-created a program called Educating for Hope. Inspired by the Jesuit Universal Apostolic Preferences, faculty and staff reflected on walking with students toward a hope-filled future.

2022-2024 Interfaith Nonviolence Initiative 
In partnership with the Institute for Nonviolence and Social Justice, we convened an interdisciplinary group of faculty and fostered community partnerships focused on nonviolence.

2021-22 Faculty in Residence, Kouslaa Kessler-Mata, PhD

Professor Kessler-Mata led a year-long initiative exploring Indigenous Engagement at USF. You can read about her project in the upcoming volume of Pierless Bridges.

2020-21 Faculty Justice Scholar, Stephanie Sears, PhD

Professor Sears convened monthly meetings with a group of Black female identified faculty and wrote “A Reflection on Healing, Anti-Black Racism and Cura Personalis” for Pierless Bridges.  

2019-2021 Women Engaging CST 

Funded by the Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities, published Women Engaging the Catholic Social Tradition: Solidarity Toward the Common Good (Paulist Press, 2022).
