Address Formatting for Outbound Mail and Packages

  • Ensure that mail/packages are correctly addressed and that the employee is listed in the mail delivery database or University Directory. Inadequately addressed items will be returned to sender (RTS).


Intracampus/interdepartmental Mail (Hilltop campus):

  • Interdepartmental mail typically has a 2-business day turnaround, depending on the department's delivery schedule.

InterCAMPUS Mail (branch campuses) :

Intercampus mail and packages are sent through mail carriers like regular outgoing mail.  Please send an email to mailservices@usfca.edu with the following information:

  1. Sender's:
    • First and Last Name
    • Department Name
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
  2. Recipient's:
    • First and Last Name
    • Department Name and Branch Campus Name
    • Branch Campus Address
    • Phone Number
  3. FOAP
  4. Choice of Ground or Express Shipment
  5. Will this mail/package be delivered to the Mailroom or picked up as part of the regular mail route?
  6. Does the parcel contain liquids, fragile items, perishables, or hazardous materials?

 


STUDENTS

  • Carriers deliver mail and packages directly to dormitories.
  • Ensure mail/packages are correctly addressed and that the student is in the mail delivery database. Inadequately addressed items will be returned to sender (RTS).
  • Refer to the Student Housing’s website for address format guidance.
