Building Access

All Faculty:
All buildings on campus are locked.
You will need to download an app to allow you access. Instructions to do so are found here.
In addition to building access, your mobile ID will allow you to do the following:
-
Personal Identification: Your USF One Card identifies you as a member of the USF community.
-
Building Access: Your USF One Card serves to verify eligibility and unlocks doors for access into buildings and rooms.
-
Debit Account/Meal Plan: You may add prepaid funds to your USF One Card, and then use it to pay for on-campus expenses.
-
Library Privileges: With your USF One Card comes entitlements for access into campus libraries and for book-borrowing privileges.
-
Access to On-Campus Printers/Copiers: Hold your Mobile USF One Card on one of the multifunctional (MFP) devices on campus to easily print, scan, copy, and fax.
Do I need a key to get into the classroom?
You shouldn’t need a key. The classrooms will not be locked during class times. If the door is locked for some reason, please try your USF ID card.
You will need a key, however, to access the technology in the rooms on the Hilltop. Keys to USF’s Smart Classrooms on the Hilltop can be obtained from the ITS Help Desk in the library Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Note that keys are specific to the classroom technology level in the specific building, therefore not all keys work in all buildings.
Classroom Supplies
All classrooms, at all locations, should be stocked with pens/chalk and erasers. On the Hilltop this is handled by facilities and they have a student check the classrooms every few days. The University does not have the resources to check the rooms throughout the day, so it is always advisable to have a spare pen or piece of chalk with you.
