Wireless coverage is available in most locations on the Hilltop campus and at all other campuses. USF wireless access is granted automatically with a MyUSF account. Your USF-issued devices should connect automatically to the network. There is a separate network for your personal devices.

For more information, including having your mobile devices automatically connect to the network, wireless printing and coverage, please navigate to the Wireless Network page.

Full-time faculty with an office on the Hilltop will have a mailbox assigned to them in the Faculty Lounge on the 2nd floor of Malloy Hall 238.  You will need your mailbox key which will be given to you at the time of orientation.

Faculty with offices Downtown can find their mail in SFH 532 aka the copy room.

Adjunct faculty have a file cabinet in the adjunct faculty office Malloy Hall 244.

In Fall 2023 The School of Management dissolved their faculty departments.. As part of SOM’s new faculty structure, scheduling and course assignments are now centralized in Academic Affairs.

The Academic Affairs team works with the graduate program directors,  major leads, student advisors, and Associate Deans to develop a student-centric schedule. In developing the schedule, they take into account past schedules as well as current enrollment and student needs. Of note, the “schedule” refers to the course offerings, days and times, and modality but does not include specific teaching assignments.

Once the schedule is developed, the Academic Affairs team begins the process of assigning full-time faculty to individual course sections. Once full-time faculty workloads are fulfilled, they reach out to part-time faculty about open courses.  All course assignments are made in adherence to the full-time and part-time faculty collective bargaining agreements. This means that part-time faculty with PHP designations will be prioritized for their designated courses. Academic Affairs contacts part-time instructors based on past teaching experience and expressed interest.

As we no longer have department chairs, please feel free to email Katherine Green, Assistant Director of Academic Affairs, if you have any questions about the process.
