The USF Bucket List

How will you make your USF experience meaningful?

Make the most of your time at USF by connecting with the community, exploring San Francisco, trying something new, and creating memories along the way.

1. Find Your Place at USF

Attend the Involvement Fair, join a student organization, and participate in campus events and traditions.

2. Celebrate the Cultures of USF

Experience Holi, Lunar New Year, cultural showcases, heritage celebrations, and programs hosted by USF’s Cultural Centers.

3. Cheer on the Dons

Attend a USF athletic event and show your school spirit alongside classmates, friends, and the campus community.

4. Become a Student Leader

Serve as an orientation leader, peer mentor, resident adviser, student organization officer, or admission ambassador.

5. Find Your Favorite Campus Spot

Discover the perfect place to study, relax, or enjoy the view, whether it is Gleeson Library, Lone Mountain, or a quiet corner of campus.

6. Connect Beyond the Classroom

Visit a professor during office hours, attend a lecture, participate in research, or take a class outside your comfort zone.

7. Gain Real-World Experience

Complete an internship, visit Career Services, connect with a USF alum, and begin preparing for life after graduation.

8. Learn Beyond San Francisco

Study abroad, participate in an immersion program, or engage in an experience that introduces you to another community or culture.

9. Serve the Community

Volunteer, support a cause you care about, work in the USF Community Garden, or participate in a community engagement project.

10. Explore Golden Gate Park

Bike through the park, visit the museums, see the bison, and take in the views from the de Young Observation Tower.

11. Experience San Francisco’s Icons

Walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, ride a cable car, visit Lands End, and spend time along the Pacific Ocean.

12. Explore the City’s Neighborhoods

Visit Chinatown, the Mission, Japantown, North Beach, the Fillmore, the Richmond, the Sunset, and neighborhoods beyond campus.

13. Enjoy the Best of the Bay

Attend a Giants game, explore the Ferry Building, visit a local coffee shop, and try food from a new culture or neighborhood.

14. Take Care of Yourself

Explore Koret, join an intramural or club sport, take a break when you need one, and ask for support when things feel difficult.

15. Leave Your Mark

Take a photo with the Los Lobos sculpture, mentor another student, thank someone who supported you, and create a tradition of your own.

16. Create Your Own Bucket-List Item

Every student’s USF experience is different. Add something personal that reflects what you hope to learn, experience, contribute, or remember during your time at USF.
