AAPI Leadership Fellows

AAPIs Choose Solidarity by Jamie Chin

The AAPI Leadership Fellows program is a year-long program that supports Asian American and Pacific Islander students passionate about expanding their skills as leaders and agents of social change. As AAPI Fellows, students have the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, be part of a dynamic community of student leaders, and engage with AAPI communities both on and off campus.

All student fellows are required to enroll in CDS 390, a 2-unit AAPI Leadership course, in both Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. This course allows student fellows to work collaboratively for social change and offers hands-on leadership development opportunities that draw from the cultural strengths and legacies of AAPI communities. CDS 390 will count as a full-coverage elective in the Asian Pacific American Studies minor.

All AAPI Fellows are also eligible for a paid community internship in Spring semester, and the opportunity to serve as a peer mentor to other AAPI students. Fellows will be invited to join an AAPI student advisory board to collaborate with USF faculty, staff, and administration on how to best support the educational and holistic development of AAPI students at USF.
