Engineering Opportunities Database

The opportunities database is constantly being updated with internship, job, scholarship, and graduate program opportunities!

  • USF Career Services
    • Career Services is always running resume help sessions and recruiting events, and offers a lot of support in finding jobs/internships for students. Make sure you sign up for Handshake too!
  • Pathways to Research and Postdoc Careers
    • There are pre-doc jobs that are now available in research institutions around the country and that are advertised on PREDOC.org platform (Pathways to Research and Doctoral Careers). New jobs keep being added to the platform as the recruiting season proceeds forward. These are great opportunities for graduating students in many fields (economics, math, computer sciences, physics, psychology, and so on) to work for one or two years as full-time research assistants alongside top researchers in economics and business, focusing on the most varied topics, such as Energy and Environment, Healthcare, Discrimination, Artificial Intelligence, Cryptocurrencies, Big Data, Behavioral Marketing and Social Psychology, Financial Economics, Accounting, and so on
  • National Science Foundation REU Database
    • The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program. This solicitation features two mechanisms for supporting student research:

      • REU Sites are based on independent proposals to initiate and conduct projects that engage a number of students in research. REU Sites may be based in a single discipline or academic department or may offer interdisciplinary or multi-department research opportunities with a coherent intellectual theme.

      • REU Supplements may be included as a component of proposals for new or renewal NSF grants or cooperative agreements or may be requested for ongoing NSF-funded research projects.
  • PathwaysToScience
    • Programs and professional development resources for current and prospective undergraduate students -- research experiences for undergraduates (REU), scholarships, and travel and research opportunities.
