A Letter from the Director
Dear USF community,
I hope your semester is going well and that you're finding time to rest and recharge.
I'd like to tell you about a new initiative in the College of Arts and Sciences called Tech Partnerships. Essentially, this initiative aims to build partnerships in various ways:
- internally within our community with students, faculty, and staff interested in tech
- externally with industry members looking to partner with USF to further students’ experience with the tech industry
- externally with our local community looking to work with our students in tech-related areas
- with alumni looking to mentor, share experiences, or get involved with our students in tech
We’re excited to kick off the Tech Partnerships Initiative with our first event, a virtual Fireside Chat and Q&A with Sarah Clatterbuck, Senior Director of Engineering at YouTube. More details on this below, hope to see you there!
We’re also looking to restart Diversineers, a student org for students of color in tech, everyone is welcome! Please let us know if you are interested in a student leadership position in the form below.
We’ll be featuring some of the amazing student organizations related to tech in our newsletters. Please let us know below if you’d like to be featured!
Please feel free to reach out to me or book a slot during my office hours.
I know this is a difficult time to be a student looking for a job or internship in tech. Our hope is that we can build relationships and generate opportunities for our students inside and outside of the classroom.
And if you’re applying for a job or internship right now, may the force be with you!
