Semester Payment Plan

The Semester Payment Plan provides a convenient and flexible way to pay tuition, fees,
housing, and meal plan charges through scheduled installment payments throughout the
semester.


USF expects students to either pay their account balance in full or enroll in the Semester
Payment Plan by the payment due date for each term. Failure to make payment or enroll
in a payment plan by the deadline may result in course registration cancellation.


Students can enroll in the Semester Payment Plan online through View & Pay and may
choose to set up automatic payments for added convenience. The payment plan is
available for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

 

Eligibility and Cost to Participate 

To participate in the Semester Payment Plan:

  • A $50 enrollment fee is charged each semester.

  • Students must have a minimum eligible balance of $2,250, as required by California law.

  • Installment payments may be made using electronic check (e-check), paper check, or international and 529 payments through Flywire.

Planning ahead and enrolling early can help ensure your balance is managed before important semester deadlines.

 

Instructions on how to enroll in the semester payment plan:

STUDENTS

  • Log in to View and Pay from your myUSF account
  • Select the 'Payment Plans' option from the menu
  • Click the 'View payment plan options' button in the Payment Plans window
  • Follow the prompts and agree to the terms and conditions to enroll

AUTHORIZED PAYERS

  • Log in to the View and Pay using the authorized payer account your student created for you
  • Select the 'Payment Plans' option from the menu
  • Click the 'View payment plan options' button in the Payment Plans window
  • Follow the prompts and agree to the terms and conditions to enroll

Payment plan enrollment dates and installment schedule

Fall 2026 Semester

Enrollment Period
July 6, 2026 – September 30, 2026

Installment Due Dates:

  • August 5, 2026
  • September 5, 2026
  • October 5, 2026
  • November 5, 2026

Late Enrollment Requirements:

  • Enrollment on or after August 6, 2026 requires payment of the $50 enrollment fee and the August installment at the time of enrollment.
  • Enrollment on or after September 6, 2026 requires payment of the $50 enrollment fee and the August and September installments at the time of enrollment. 

Spring 2027 Semester

Enrollment Period
December 2, 2026 – February 28, 2027

Installment Due Dates:

  • January 5, 2027
  • February 5, 2027
  • March 5, 2027
  • April 5, 2027

Late Enrollment Requirements:

  • Enrollment on or after January 6, 2027 requires payment of the $50 enrollment fee and the January installment at the time of enrollment.
  • Enrollment on or after February 6, 2027 requires payment of the $50 enrollment fee and the January and February installments at the time of enrollment. 

Monthly Payment Plan Due Dates

Payment plan installments are due on the 5th of each month. Students are encouraged to enroll early to take full advantage of the available installment schedule and avoid additional payments being due at the time of enrollment.

 

Returned Payment Fees

If your payment is returned/ dishonored for any reason, you may be required to submit repayment in certified funds. You will also be required to pay the following fees:

  • USF Returned Payment Fee: $15
  • Transact Returned Payment Fee: $15

Transact will send email notifications regarding returned/dishonored payments from payments-noreply@transactcampus.com. The Office of Student Accounts will review returned payments bi-monthly on the 10th and 25th. USF does not accept credit or debit card payments. If you are using the e-check method, you must use valid bank account and routing numbers. It can take 1-3 business days for online payments to process. Please ensure you have sufficient funds available while payments are processing.
